About the Film
In May 2015, Peter Wohlleben published his book “The Secret Life of Trees” and immediately stormed the bestseller lists. How does a book about trees manage to cast a spell over people? Perhaps because the forester from the village of Wershofen succeeds in writing vividly about the German forest like no other. In this way, he lets the readers participate in his finding that trees are able to communicate with one another. Furthermore, he gives forest tours and holds readings, so that he brings people closer to the extraordinary living beings and his readership continues to grow.
Wohlleben has turned his passion into a profession and is seen by many as a role model, because Peter Wohlleben is aware of one thing: if the trees are doing well, the people will survive too.
