About the Film
Hosted by Summit Land Conservancy
YRCL’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a call to action! The films illustrate not only the challenges facing our planet but the work communities are doing to protect the environment and the places we love. The stories give us a sense of place and what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth.
Summit Land Conservancy has selected 7 environmental and adventure films ranging from 2-36 minutes in length. From an awe-inspiring film showcasing the mountain biking skills of Danny Macaskill to a profile on how snowboarder Jeremy Jones combines adventure and scientific research to protect the places where we play; from an exploration of the choices Montana farming and ranching communities faced while trying to save unprotected public land to a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act; from a joyful look at a forest kindergarten program in Switzerland to a Seussical glimpse into what our countries most iconic wilderness places mean to children, these 7 films will inspire, educate, and maybe even challenge viewers.
All proceeds will benefit the Summit Land Conservancy. Our top sponsor is the Intermountain Park City Medical Center, and we are grateful to them for making this event possible.
Arrive early to sign up to win fabulous door prizes; doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets available online or at the door: $10 in advance online and $15 the day of the event, at the door only.
