About the Film
Starting in 1984 when he starred in Rob Reiner’s This is Spinal Tap, Christopher Guest has made a career of sharp-witted faux comic documentaries in which he lampoons the self-importance of an amusing gallery of characters. Here he focuses on the folk music community of the 1960s as they are brought together for a tribute concert in New York’s Town Hall after many years out of the limelight. The comedy stars Guest, Eugene Levy, Harry Shear, Catherine O?Hare and Bob Balaban.
