André — The Voice of Wine takes audiences on a wondrous cinematic journey from Russia through Europe to America to tell the story of André Tchelistcheff, the man behind the renaissance in the American wine industry after Prohibition. Born a Russian aristocrat, his life spans the battlefield of the Russian Revolution, the French vineyards of Moet & Chandon, the Pasteur Institute in Paris and ends in the vineyards of California. Credited with being the man behind the California wine industry’s shocking win at the 1976 Paris Blind Tasting, André’s influence and his passion for wine has influenced generations of wine makers, producers and wine lovers around the world.
