About the Film
A tightly plotted and paced thriller this is one of the more intense mysteries of the year. Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche star as a secure couple with a young son who live a quiet, comfortable life in Paris, where Georges is the host of a literary TV program. Their sense of normalcy is shattered when they begin receiving videos and enigmatic drawings in the mail. Someone has been spying on them and filming their family — but why? And who? The footage becomes more personal, and they realize that whoever is sending the packages is someone they know. This ambitious film, a selection of last year’s New York Film Festival, plays on all our fears of unprovoked menace and violence.
