About the Film
This was chosen as the prestigious opening night film at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Bruges, the most well-preserved medieval city in the whole of Belgium, is a welcoming destination for travelers from all over the world. But for two hit men on the lam, played by Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, it could be their final destination. Very much out of place amidst the gothic architecture, canals, and cobbled streets, the two men fill their days living the lives of tourists. The longer they stay waiting for their boss’s call, the more surreal their experience becomes.
An endlessly surprising comedy. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
