About the Film
Perhaps the bravest and most uncompromising film of the year, this is the story of the social researcher given credit (or blame) for igniting the sexual revolution. Liam Neeson, Laura Linney and Chris O’Donnell head a wonderful cast in this funny, moving and provocative biography of the world’s world?s most famous sex researcher. The film is more upfront about sex, both verbal and visually, than anything usually expected from an R rated star filled feature. Bill Condon, who last directed Gods and Monsters, has recreated a bracing sense of the pervasive ignorance and avoidance of sexual information that made Alfred Kinsey’s pioneering research such a bombshell in 1940s America. It all makes for an entertaining, sophisticating and controversial film.
