About the Film
The Park City Film Series presents a special screening by local filmmaker Jill Orschel. Her film Lakota Workcamp is a thought-provoking documentary which follows a youth group from the Park City Community Church on their service mission to a poverty-stricken community of Oglala Lakota Indians. The teens aren’t met with open arms and Native American romanticism, but instead with quiet resistance and the naked reality of modern day life on a reservation. This film is appropriate for all ages.
In addition to Lakota Workcamp, two short films will be shown, The Majority Report, directed by local filmmaker Eric Risteau and a work-in-progress film also directed by Eric Risteau with the working title Corporate Shaman.
