Maudie

MAUDIE is based on a true story and stars Ethan Hawke and Sally Hawkins in an unlikely romance in which reclusive Everett Lewis hires a fragile yet determined woman to be his housekeeper on the beautiful coastline of Nova Scotia. Maudie, bright-eyed but with a hunched back, yearns to be independent, to live away from her protective family and to create art. MAUDIE charts their blossoming love story and her surprising rise to fame as a folk painter.
