About the Film
Slamdance On The Road is a year-round traveling celebration of Slamdance Filmmakers and their bold vision for independent film. This year’s program dares to expand the horizons of filmmaking with courageous feats of Do-It-Yourself cinema.
The feature will be Three Night Stand directed by Pat Kiely. Carl organizes a trip to a ski lodge in the Laurentians of Quebec, where he plans to reconnect with his young wife Sue. But their trip is sent into a tailspin when they discover Carl’s ex-girlfriend Robyn, a woman he’s secretly obsessed with, is working at the lodge. Now Carl will have to face temptation, while dissimulating and trying to avoid telling his wife the truth about the past.
The short preceding the feature will be Pablo’s Villa directed by Matthew Salleh. In 1985, Pablo Novak watched as the picturesque holiday town of Villa Epecu?n was submerged. Everybody abandoned the town, except for Pablo. Now, over 23 years later, this modern day Atlantis has finally re-emerged , and what remains of it has become Pablo?s home, and a place for his memories.
Peter Baxter, Founder of Slamdance, will be introducing the films. Pat Kiely, Director of Three Night Stand, will participate in a Q&A via Skype following the films.
