Spellbound

Spellbound follows eight extremely smart young people of various ethnic, class and regional backgrounds from their respective home towns to Washington D.C. for the 2000 finals of the National Spelling Bee. The children are the center of this engaging film as they work hard to achieve their goals. Their heroic effort becomes an examination of families and communities as they root for each child to be victorious.
