About the Film
Based on Posy Simmonds’ beloved graphic novel of the same name, this is a witty modern take on the romantic notions of English country life. The story is populated by amateur novelists on a retreat, rich weekenders, eccentric bohemians, a horny rock star, and the sexy Tamara Drewe. When Tamara sashays back to the bucolic village of her youth, life for the locals is thrown into a stew of gossip and sexual innuendo.
