About the Film
It’s the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with youthful energy and music. Luke spends his last summer before college selling small amounts of pot from an ice cream cart. He trades it with his psychiatrist, played by the always riveting Ben Kingsley, for therapy. Things get complicated for all concerned when Luke falls in love with the psychiatrist’s step-daughter, played by Olivia Thirlby, who was the wisecracking young friend in Juno. Famke Janssen, Mary Kate Olsen, and Method Man round out the cast in this edgy, bittersweet, and funny coming of age story.
Hilarious and heartfelt. – Rolling Stone
