About the Film
This documentary tells of Tibetan nationals and their fight against Chinese rule. The account is built on eyewitness reports and a series of stunning photographs by a Buddhist monk whose courage turned him into a Tibetan hero. The superb landscapes of the Himalayas in the film establish Tibet as the land on the roof of the world. It is here that Tibetan Buddhists continue the struggle of resistance on behalf of the indigenous people. Martin Sheen, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins narrate the film.
