About the Film
Oscar winning documentary filmmaker, Kevin Macdonald, has created an awe-inspiring retelling of a treacherous and legendary high-Andes mountain assent by two climbers in 1985. Adapted from the international best-seller by Joe Simpson, the film uses first person on-camera accounts of the heart-stopping adventure of Simpson and his fellow climber, Simon Yates told against a backdrop of spectacular mountain footage which bring home the awesome and harrowing aspects of their feat.
