Whatever Works

Woody Allen writes and directs this comedy about an eccentric New Yorker, played by HBO’s Larry David, who falls in love with a young woman from the South who has come to New York seeking a new life. Patricia Clarkson and Ed Begley Jr. play the young woman’s traumatized conservative parents who come to New York to save her. Everyone’s unexpressed Bohemian nature bubbles to the surface as can only happen in this wild and romantic New York fantasy.
