What time do the shows start?
There are one to two film screenings each night one – showtimes are ~ 6:30pm for the first film and the second at 8:30pm – please check individual film listings for exact details. Tickets are priced per film – so if you want to stay for a double feature, you will need to buy a ticket to each of the films separately.
What time are gates open?
For the 6:30pm show, gates will open at 6:00pm. For the second shows ( 8:30pm), gates will open 30min prior to the posted showtime, or as soon as the lot is cleared of cars from the first show.
How will we be able to see the movie if we are watching before it’s dark?
The screen is an LED screen, not projection, so it is much like those used at professional outdoor sports events and can easily be seen in daylight.
Can I leave my car running during the show?
Sorry, but no. Our policy is that cars may be started intermittently to regenerate power for your radio, or run a bit of heat, but we request that your vehicle remains off during the show for the health and safety of everyone. Given the cooler fall temperatures, we recommend bringing blankets, sleeping bags or a nice puffy coat to wear. Also, don’t forget body heat from your COVID-cluster! This is a Drive-in after all – cuddle-up!
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
Yes. While we encourage patrons to purchase tickets in advance online, if there are tickets still available to a film there will be the option to purchase a ticket at the entrance (credit cards only). Once the show is sold out online, however, it is sold out and no more tickets will be released. Please check the web pages for the individual films to see if tickets are still available after online sales close – typically around 4pm the day of the screening.
I hear I can win a Gift Card – how does that work?
Thanks to a grant we received from the Shop in Utah program, the first 10 people to purchase a ticket to any film screening will be sent a $20 gift card to a local Park City restaurant or small business. Additionally, at each film we will select 3 lucky ticket holders at random and send them a $50 gift card to Ghidotti’s Italian Restaurant, courtesy of Twilight Drive-in sponsor Bill White Restaurant Group. Please note that each patron can only win once:)
Can I bring my camper, bus, limo, etc.?
Sorry, but no. In order to accommodate everyone, the maximum we can accommodate is sprinter vans and pickup trucks without campers. Normal shell toppers are ok.
Can I watch the movie from the back of my car? How about the roof?
Hatchbacks that extend beyond the roof of the car must remain closed. Sitting in truck beds is allowed, but masks must be worn. Absolutely NO sitting on the roofs of cars due to safety concerns and as a courtesy to the cars behind you.
Can I sit next to my car to watch the movie?
Yes, you may bring low-back chairs to sit in the space next to your car (left side/driver’s side only). You must maintain 6ft of distance from other parties and stay within your allotted space. Masks must be worn by everyone that is sitting outside or if your car windows are rolled down.
Is parking limited? Can I park wherever I want?
Parking is designed to allow for one parking space and one open space next to each vehicle. This limits the overall number of vehicles onsite and allows for social distancing–but also provides for a great show for all. Staff will direct you to park you according to vehicle size; large trucks/SUVs will be asked to park in back rows, mid-size in middle rows, and small/compact in front rows.
Are there restrooms available?
Yes. There will be access to standard and ADA restrooms inside the Utah Olympic Park building, and they will be cleaned on a frequent schedule during the shows. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and follow posted signage/guideline markings while in line.
Is there food available?
Yes. Popcorn, candy and sodas will be available for purchase. Outside food and beverages are not allowed. All patrons are required to adhere to 6 feet of social distancing, follow all markings and wear masks when outside their vehicles or if their car windows are rolled down.
Do I have to bring/wear a mask?
Yes. In order to help keep other patrons safe, anyone outside of a vehicle with rolled-up windows and closed doors must wear a mask. Please respect this rule, as it will allow us to continue providing a safe space for everyone. Anyone not observing these guidelines will be asked to leave without refund.
Safety is our number one priority. When visiting us please follow guidelines from the CDC and local health officials, wear a mask when outside of your vehicle, and adhere to all posted signage and protocols. Masks are required per Summit County Health Ordinance – updated 8/26/20.
I’m not feeling well. Can I still come to the show?
Please do not. For the safety of everyone, please stay home if you feel unwell and/or are exhibiting any COVID symptoms.
How do I hear the movies?
We broadcast sound through our own FM transmitter. The FM station will be announced via the screen when patrons arrive onsite. You will need to have a working car radio or boom box that is capable of receiving FM frequency. Note that you will not be able to use your smart phone to access the sound as internet radio does not include local frequencies.
Will smoking be allowed?
No smoking will be permitted in the lot.
What is your rain check policy?
We are open rain or shine and all ticket sales are final. If for some reason mother nature should interrupt our showings and we cannot continue due to the safety of our guests, we will address as a case-by-case basis. Otherwise, the screen will be visible in the rain. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.
What if my car battery dies during the movie?
If your battery dies and you are unable to restart your car, please speak with any employee. We have portable battery chargers for your assistance.
We’re coming with a group, can we park next to each other?
We have a limited number of spaces, and we park vehicles according to height. We will do all we can to accommodate everyone, but can’t guarantee it.
We’re coming with a group and we didn’t get to park together. Can we go visit them in their spot?
Unfortunately, not until regulations are lifted. Please keep all members of your party within your own parking space, and do not visit other parking spaces. Anyone found leaving their space and moving to other spaces will be asked to leave without refund.
What do we do with our trash?
Although there will be trash receptacles on the premises, for the safety of our staff, we kindly ask that you please bring trash bags and pack your trash out.
