Park City Film Health & Safety Guidelines
The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) commissioned the development of protocols and guidelines specific to movie theaters, and supported by leading epidemiologists, to support a safe return to movie theaters. Park City Film has adopted NATO’s CinemaSafe protocols, which meet and in some cases exceed State and local health guidelines. A summary of our health and safety guidelines is detailed below. Please contact us with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All patrons and employees are required to wear a mask in all common areas, in the bathrooms and in the theater. Masks may only be removed when individuals are actively eating or drinking concessions while seated in their theater seats. Appropriate face coverings include well-fitted masks that cover both your nose and mouth. Face shields or bandannas that are open or loose will not be accepted coverings. Please note that no person(s) will be exempt from wearing masks. If you are not able to wear a mask for any reason, please consider waiting until a future date to join us for a film screening.
A physical distance of at least 6 feet must be maintained at all times between patrons and Park City Film staff, except members of the same household or those that attend together.
We have reduced the capacity of our auditorium to enable social distancing between household groups/COVID clusters during screenings (seating 40% of available seats). We ask all patrons to keep 3 seats vacant between themselves and unrelated parties.
All HVAC systems in the theater and common areas are in proper working order, air filters have been upgraded throughout the building and are changed on a more frequent basis. We have also increased ventilation with a fresh air intake supplement before each screening.
Employees are trained on proper hand-hygiene practices, and are required to sanitize or wash hands frequently at easily-accessible hand-washing facilities and hand sanitizing stations.
Hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol (EPA approved ethanol or isopropyl) will be liberally placed in easily accessible public areas and patrons will be encouraged by staff and appropriately placed signage to practice hand hygiene.
Theater seats and high-touch surfaces will be disinfected after every film screening with an EPA-registered disinfectant.
Employee Health Training
All employees are trained on the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 as well as local theatre policies and procedures. Park City Film employees and volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Popcorn and toppings will still be available for purchase. In order to minimize contact the concessions bar will be full serve.
Ticket sales will be sold online to eliminate the need to stand in line for tickets. After online ticket sales close (1 hour before the scheduled start time for the film), tickets will be available for purchase at the box office on site. Credit card payments are preferred.
Not Feeling Well?
Stay Home. Please.
If you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or other symptoms that could be related to COVID-19 – or think that you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home and we welcome you to join us again in the future. Refunds will be issued upon request if you are unable to attend a screening for any reason.
