Park City Film Health & Safety Guidelines
The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) commissioned the development of protocols and guidelines specific to movie theaters, and supported by leading epidemiologists, to support a safe return to movie theaters. Park City Film has adopted NATO’s CinemaSafe protocols, in addition to following State and local health guidelines. A summary of our health and safety guidelines is detailed below.
All patrons and employees are required to wear a face covering or mask in all common areas, in the bathrooms and in the theater per Summit County Health Ordinance. Masks may only be removed when individuals are actively eating or drinking concessions while seated in the theater.
Appropriate physical distancing must be maintained at all times between patrons and Park City Film staff, except members of the same household or those that attend together.
We have reduced the capacity of our auditorium to ensure 6-feet of distance is maintained between household groups/COVID clusters during screenings.
All HVAC systems in the theater and common areas are in proper working order, air filters have been upgraded throughout the building and are changed on a more frequent basis. We have also increased ventilation with a fresh air intake supplement before each screening.
Employees are trained on proper hand-hygiene practices, and are required to sanitize or wash hands frequently at easily-accessible hand-washing facilities and hand sanitizing stations.
Hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol (EPA approved ethanol or isopropyl) will be liberally placed in easily accessible public areas and patrons will be encouraged by staff and appropriately placed signage to practice hand hygiene.
Theater seats and high-touch surfaces will be disinfected after every film screening with an EPA-registered disinfectant.
Employee Health Training
All employees are trained on the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 as well as local theatre policies and procedures. Employees and volunteers will be screened for COVID symptoms before each shift and have their temperatures taken.
Popcorn and toppings will still be available for purchase. In order to minimize contact the concessions bar will be full serve and toppings will be added for you. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate personal popcorn bowls at this time.
Ticket sales will be sold online only to eliminate the need to stand in line for tickets. Concession sales will be via credit card only.
Not Feeling Well?
Stay Home. Please.
If you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or other symptoms that could be related to COVID-19 – or think that you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home and we welcome you to join us again in the future. Refunds will be issued upon request if you are unable to attend a screening for any reason. We will ask all patrons to verbally confirm at check in that they are not subject to isolation or quarantine and are not experiencing COVID symptoms.
