About the Film
Enjoy great stories from around the world this summer with your family! Films will be presented in English at 6:30pm each Tuesday, June 18th though August 13th. Admission and popcorn are free. Presented in partnership with the Park City Library as part of the School Break Film Series.
Tues, Aug 6: He Named Me Malala (PG-13, 87 min) – USA/United Arab Emirates
A portrait of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai, who was targeted by the Taliban and severely wounded by a gunshot when returning home on her school bus in Pakistan’s Swat Valley. The then 15-year-old was singled out, along with her father, for advocating for girls’ education, and the attack on her sparked an outcry from supporters around the world. Presented with Spanish subtitles.
